This isn't particularly Linux related but here goes.

In the last 5 years 3 months I have gone through three wired (4 lan 
port) routers.

1) Linksys BEFSR41
2) Dlink (DI 504 I think)
3) DSE (cheapo one)

The last one is on it's way out with it freezing up every day for the 
last three days.

Has anyone had any better luck than me with these devices or are they 
built to die after 18months - 2 years?

I am going to have to go get another one before the DSE dies completely, 
anyone have any recommendations of something that has a bit more 
longevity (and preferably a few extra features than the basics like 
being able to specify DHCP option 49)?
