The operation of Skype on my (Large Evil Corp) corporate network is a breach
of IT usage policy. Not a dismissable offence on the first occasion :-)
In part this is because of the risk of becoming a supernode, but also
because governance is virtually impossible. Internal IM is provided by an
MSM service; external IM isn't banned, but using it to talk about business
to anyone is. It's not clear if that policy is technically policed; some
ports/targets are blocked, but things like Google talk on the GMail website
works fine.
Anyway, this is for home usage, not corporate :-)
