Well, I am willing to acknowledge that I could be wrong; I have hardly
exhaustively sampled the options available, and things /may/ have
changed radically in the meanwhile.
However, most of the cameras I looked at when I went to purchase my
current one -- Canon S70 -- didn't have mass storage support.
It could be that Ubuntu have some magic I am unaware of to provide the
equivalent of mass storage support for PTP cameras using the GNOME VFS
or something, though. I didn't consider that previously.
