[wellylug] OO trainer wanted in Wgtn!

Hi y'all,
 
I just got a phone call from a guy managing a Wellington Community College's
night classes.
 
They are printing their syllabus for 2nd 1/2 of 2007 in very early April
(yes, I know, lots of notice...) and asked about the possibility of a WP course
using OO.
 
He was particularly interested in a LiveCD based platform, which while having
some performance issues, provides good security & does show off OS abit as
well! Giving people LiveCD's to take home is a nice benefit.
 
Some concerns about Vista & where MS is heading generally may have also
contributed to why I got the call.
 
I believe there are enough interested people in Wgtn to help facilitate this,
but what we need up front is at least one suitable individual willing to
teach the classes.
 
I know time is tight, but I'd love to be able to take advantage of the
opportunity.
 
OO provide heaps of training resources, and we can perhaps tap into INGOTS or
ICDL certification:

So, firstly; is anyone in Wgtn interested & available (& willing to commit)
to teaching such a course?
 
And if not to the extent above, is anyone willing to help set up the course,
burn disks, etc, just help get something suitable put together from the
wealth of available resources?
 
 
If we can a trainer/teacher & a few people to support, facilitate & market
this, 'twould be a great first step, & maybe the first of many.
