Well, "logs me out" is probably shorthand for "causes my X server to
crash, but Linux recovers and I can log in again."

Check /var/log/xorg.0.log (typically, but it may be a slightly
differently named log in /var/log) for details of the crash.

Contact your vendor for support -- even if Google Earth is doing crazy
things it shouldn't crash the X server so there is a serious bug there.
