[wellylug] Small size (but not necessarily ultra-portable) laptop recommendations

On 22nd March (Thursday) at Gracefield (Petone) Turners Auctions are selling
50 or so Dell 1400Meg laptops. These typically fetch in the $400 to $550
mark and are usually good working machines that accept Ubuntu. A friend and
I use one and are very happy.

Perhaps not right for you but a cheap option.
