You can get the process finished using aptitude (or dpkg --configure -a)
at a console session -- the bug is in either of the Qt debconf front-end
or the package using debconf incorrectly.

If necessary terminate the adept process with extreme prejudice (though
TERM should work) and then run the command in a konsole.

You should report this, if it isn't already, upstream too.  The question
is from the X server package, I believe.
