Again ... there are a few Epsons out there that don't work
out of the box, one has to download and install stuff from
a site in Japan, and only the rpm works.  A good idea would
be to go to http://www.linuxprinting.org and check potential
candidates for compatibility there (and read the fine-print);
I didn't last time, and ended up buying one of those poorly
supported epsons for my mother in law (which is OK since *I'm*
looking after their linux machine; she wouldn't have managed
on her own, I don't think).
