Politicians and media are certainly pretty much all in agreement.
Just a pity that scientists aren't.

Why, for example, did Al Gore make a big big thing of his huge chart
showing the correlation between the earth's temperature and CO2 levels
over a period of many hundreds of thousands of years, as determined
largely from ice cores ... which is perfectly correct, as far as it
went ... and then NOT mention that the temperature changes come
*first*, by several hundred years, and *then* the CO2 change?

Because he wants you to believe that CO2 levels cause temperature
changes, not the other way around.
