[wellylug] Fedora/RedHat main users/administrators locally

I use FC6 on my main desktop machine, and have administrative control (and distro choice)
over at least 17 other machines. They're all headless servers and are all running forms of
Fedora going back to FC2.
Why do I use Fedora? Because I know it, and it Just Works (tm). My first foray into Linux
was with Caldera (around 1999). It was based around Red Hat. After I'd blundered my way
around that for a while, I knew how to do everything I needed, and so I chose to stay with
that species of distro when I next needed to install Linux on a server.
There have been times when the only distro with particular hardware support was Fedora,
which has affected my choice, too.
I've tried other distros: debian, Suse, (k)ubuntu, but I've always found it easier to
re-install with Fedora than get to know how they work.
Bizzarely, one of the oft-quoted reasons for using ubuntu/debian is the package manager.
While I hate a lot of things about yum, I have had so little success with apt-get that
it's yet another reason to stay with Fedora
I use KDE on my desktop, again mainly for the familiarity thing, although I found that it
was easier to configure some things under gnome than KDE (I can't remember what, now)
What was the reason for your question?
