[wellylug] photo AND video archive app?

Increasingly, I'm taking short video clips of events / things as well as 
or instead of taking photos.

We have digikam and f-spot to manage our thousands of images, give them 
tags, sort by date etc but is there something that can do that for video 
clips as well?

I have had a good hunt but haven't been able to turn up anything... 
What's out there??
