Trust you to have the oddest hardware in the entire world ever :-)
After a year of purgatory oscillating between Fedora and Suse, I moved
from being a Mandrake addict after they dropped the ball too many times
at around the 10.2 mark, and finally gave in to my big brother beating
me around the head with apt-get and moved to Ubuntu.
The sense of relief of never having had to manually resolve some petty
stupid RPM dependency since has probably contributed to about 5 points
off my blood pressure.
If yum could just be tweaked to cache its repo manifests locally as
apt-get does, so it can search/resolve locally instead of farting about
upstream every time one invokes yum, they could win a few more folks over.
