Come now.  Everyone knows that the location of future events is never
announced until the organisers are confident that the city can pull it
off.  Often such things are announced proudly at keynotes as the
"competing" candidates, who are always self selected, see whether their
pitches to host the event have worked.  Consider it an act of grace that
somebody is spreading a rumour like this on-list.
