Hi Wayne

- From the t/b site I downloaded the tar.gz file
made a directory in /usr/local and named it Thunderbird into which I
moved tar.gz file
I then uncompressed using the gunzip cmnd
Extracted with the tar -xvf cmnd

after this I then read the Readme.txt file which pointed to a web page
of getthunderbird.com/releases
I was redirected to Mozilla Europe and the release notes.
I could not find any installation instructions in the extracted files.

Trust this helps, what I'm looking for are installation instr's

Cheers

Dave Crosby
