I find this often at home- running apt-get looks for the repositories at
1.0.0.0 and just sits there until I kill it (same problem as yours?). I
work around this by manually adjusting the network to use 202.27.184.5
as my primary gateway- this will work for about 15-30 minutes, and then
automatically go back to the broken default.
I haven't found a reliable permanent fix for this yet- despite a lot of
people having the same problem- would be keen to know of one if it exists.
