[wellylug] 5G Ipod video and linux firmware

I have just been given an ipod video, have noticed there is the possibility of putting something like podzilla on. Has anyone ever tried this? Or any other linux firmware?

If not what is the best option re apps on ubuntu regarding setting up playlists and transferring music to the ipod
