As an NZOSS member, I can say yes, coz I am.... not that different to Wellylug.
If someone takes it & runs, it will happen....
I'd like to think there is enough FOSS stuff around to do this well, but it
really needs proper organisation, corporate booths, etc. More professional than
the stuff I've been doing at 'fests :-)
Summat I'm planning (have been for a while, just haven't been around long
enough for the last 18 months) is a demo on Sat mornings at the Wainui Mall, in
association with the local bookshop, who stock & sell a few of the major Linux
mags. Dunno why there is such interest here, but there is a better selection
than in most places.
Simple small thing, a few books mags & a Linux box to demo & answer questions
with some disks to give away. I haven't really chased it up since a basic
question about 18 months ago. If this goes OK I was thinking about seeing
Dymocks, who now have a shop in Queensgate/Westfield mall in Lower Hutt. about
trying one there. A much larger audience there....
Keeping things at a scale I can do myself at this stage.

Will do, thanks! She's still around & doing pretty well. NIWA flew our daughter
back from the states to help look after her which was pretty neat...
Spotcha,
