[wellylug] Where is mount point for my USB mem stick

Type 
  mount
into a terminal.

You should see a line like
/dev/sdb1 on /media/disk-2 type vfat
(rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal,shortname=mixed,uid=1000,utf8,umask=077,flush)

In this case, the mount point is /media/disk-2
