[wellylug] PCLOS and the WinModem.

Good evening.
Has anyone had any experience with PCLOS? I ran a live CD on my HP 
NX9005 laptop to evaluate it as a replacement for Puppy 2.17, which does 
almost everything I need at present, except notably dial out via a soft 
modem.
PCLOS 2007 found the modem but was unsuccessful at contacting XTRA, and 
the driver interrogation returned a missing parameter.
Can anyone guide me through the configuration of the Intel 537 M5457 
AC-Link Modem to either Clear or XTRA to discover whether it's a runner 
please? I'm really new to Linux so speak slowly please.
