I am sorry to say that you have hit the end of my ability to help here:
I know zero about zenwalk, so can't suggest what tools or diagnostics
would help.

If you are getting any error messages from either the kernel or the
tools then feel free to post them, but otherwise I have to hope someone
else can help you out.
