Are you sure they're actually having a meeting on that day? Or did the
previous government's cabinet vote on the commencement date already? It would
seem strange that the previous government could schedule a cabinet meeting for
a future government---on a Saturday, no less.

I'm sure there isn't; I was just concerned that it might be too easy for our
opponents to accuse us of being misinformed.

I think this was a good decision. For exactly this reason, I was perfectly
happy to sign your petition, worded the way it is. (It's quite rare for me to
be so happy with the wording of a petition---I can be quite pedantic, as you
may have noticed.)
I really do appreciate the work you're doing to get the word out.
