according to /proc/cpuinfo there's one cpu, one core. for what i paid, 
that seems right ;)

iostat shows a lot of zeros, unless i copy between a flash drive and HD.

the system is seriously idle, but it seems like the load averages i'm 
seeing are off by +1.
