Sorry, I only just picked up this thread.
I'm in Upper Hutt and have just downloaded 9.04 and burnt to CD (and done 
an install...)

It did take three burns to get one that wasn't a coaster... but the boot 
menus provide an option for verifying the disk integrity which is worth 
using....

I can make a copy of my known-good disk for ya, no problems (if i find a 
good blank in amongst all the fingerprinty-ones...)
