hi all,

I've forwarded an email from the NZOSS list about the government's plan
to legalise software patents.

I'm sure all of you are familiar with the amount of abuse done using
software patents overseas (Amazon's 1-click comes to mind) as well as
the risk of large monopolies such as Microsoft making patents designed
to prevent OSS applications from fairly competing.

See the attached email for details, and I suggest that you take the time
to make a submission - as the owner of a software development company,
it's certainly a big worry for me!
