I use mine with an Eee PC901 (Xandros-based OS) and An Acer
4315 (Fedora 10).

Even with maximum signal strength, and several cell sites,
the modem never switches from slow GPRS to faster 3G. That
said, it does work faster with a better signal and more cell
sites... I use a Blackberry on Vodafone's network, and it is
very selective when it switches to 3G...

I have no idea presently how the modem might work on a
Windows OS PC, and do not want really to find out, as I
heartily dislike most things to do with Microsoft. 

Is anyone aware of a fix to improve the internet access
speed, when operating the modem with Linux, or is the
problem really Vodafone's network??
