Based on the discussion here in the past, I suspect the answer is yes. 
(I too have random IT things in my garage to give away to a good home, 
and have been considering Freecycle but it's not clear anyone on 
Freecycle would take them.)

If you do set it up, I'd be happy to modify the monthly announcement to 
include a URL with details of your nerdcycle mailing list.
