Who knew!
I've heard the term "Silicon Welly" before as well - and given the
number of blue chips here, the amount of central government IT including
the biggest two - ie IRD and MSD, plus Weta Workshops... not that
unfair. Maybe not as much overall compared to Auckland but certainly
very high for the population of the city.
But Christchurch? Really? Did you mean to put the term (in the South
Island) in there somewhere?
Sorry, don't mean to troll... just really interested as to what would
make someone say that.
