[wellylug] Flashplugin v10 problem on Ubuntu

Hey folks,

I'm trying to install abobe flash player 10 plugin, as per the instructions here: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/linux-install-flash-player-10.html

The deb file fails, with dependencies that the box can't find (I'm not at the box, I'm trying to talk the owner through the process over the phone)

I figured I could use the tar.gz approach for a user install, (method #2 on this site), & as described on 
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/instructions/

However, the downloaded tar.gz file only contains a .so file, not a directory with an installer. So I figure Adobe have screwed up somewhere, but no-one else is having this problem that I can find...


Any suggestions?
