[wellylug] AMD Processor unknown

To be accurate the windows 7 is here also to grab 10s of thousands frames of 12 MB in 16 bits /pixel each at a rate of 9 ish fps. Windows being what it is I also need some NTFS RAID 0. Meaning even if I bother running a virtual machine I would have to have zillions of TB etc.. not practical.
For say a 25 minutes Super8 reel (400 ft) takes about 380 GB
I keep Linux for the grabbing in 8 bits but much faster and windows mostly for the 16mm films or negatives.for a better dynamic range and in 1080 progressive.

Cheers
E

Why not run windows in a virtual machine and utilise the spare
processing power for the linux stuff.

They're both amd64, so no need to recompile anything for linux.
