Hi everyone,

I have asked Carl (in Greymouth now) to forward my mail to the list as I
am still unable to post to it
although of course I can see everyone's posts coming in. Also
I cannot mail to anyone at clear.net.nz !! Weird I know but I have a client
and also a friend at clear. I can read their mail coming in but when
I reply it does not get to them, it does not go into their spam and
I do not get any error messages! I have to use yahoo mail for clear.net.nz
people!

My main reason for writing is I need to find someone who can help me
purchase and
set up a new pc.
and to give me a quote for the whole job please.

I have 3 IDE HDD's in the removeable slide out alumunium cases. One is Ubuntu
one is the Ubuntu back up and one is Windoze. When I have asked at computer
shops they all tell me I need to buy my own licensed XP which I dont want
to do. I can get the install disk that I used from my friend but its
not mine obviously. Of course I only ever have 2 HDD's in the slots
at the same time and that is when I am backing up my Ubuntu. I dont have
a back up windoze drive I just put my work on sticks.

My system is old and I want to get a new one. I dont need a new large
internal SATA HDD. My current HDDs are 80 Gig Seagates and the Ubuntu
drive is only one third full. I only use windoze for MYOB which is my
work and I use it for windows movies and other videos that I cant watch on
my old Ubuntu as GXine does not handle them and nothing I have works.

I need the person to adapt the new pc internally to take my slide in drives
and also help me get windoze working again with a new system as I am told
it will just poop itself. Also using maybe my back up Ubuntu I need
help to make sure everything is working OK with that with the new
hardware. I can borrow the XP install disk from my friend but dont want
to spend $200 on XP! I also want a DVD burner.

Currently I have a PS2 keyboard but could get a USB one or one of those
converter plugs ?? I have a USB mouse and printer. I need 4 USB ports
in the right place as I use them all the time for my memory sticks etc.

Can anyone help me with this please and provide me with some pricing
and also I would like to get started on it as soon as they are able!

thanks a lot
best regards
Lyndsay
