[wellylug] Linux install help required

I have a PC that I want to turn into a media center box3.2Ghz CPU (single Core)4Gigs RamATI HD 5670 512Mb GPU HDMI DVI and VGA500W Power Supply.Asus P5LD2 Delux Motherboard with built in 5.1 Audio with COAX and Optical Audio out.1TB Sata drive
I am wanting have some sort of Linux Distro installed with a similar sort of Media Center App to XBMC which I have on my Macbook.I will need this to be able to play HD .mkv files
Does anyone know of which would be the best distro to install for this, and any company or individual that can do the install and roughly what kind of costs I would be looking at?
