I run Ubuntu on a Lenovo ThinkPad X61 which is the predecessor of the X200
series. Ubuntu installs and runs without any special customisation.

While the TrackPoint pointing stick works without customisation, I do use
Configure-TrackPoint to customise the settings to my preference.
