Incidentally, be aware there's a further caveat with Grub2 if you have a
machine with a manufacturer's recovery partition.  By default, when you invoke
the Grub2 installation script it scans all bootable partitions and
automatically adds them to the boot menu *including* the recovery partition.
The labels Grub2 provides don't always make it easy to distinguish this from
your primary Windows partition, so you can end up inadvertently selecting the
recovery partition option and "restoring" your machine to factory specs.

Personally I think Grub2 has become unnecessarily complicated for a boot loader.
