That's positively modern...

I started (as far as personal computers go -, Burroughs & PDP11's & such were even earlier) with an external homemade 300baud modem on a CP/M box with 64Mb RAM, then under DOS with 512K on a "turbo" 6Ghz 16bit cpu, well before Windows :-), then bought a super fast 2400 baud one a few years later... back when I bought a single speed CD in the US for a few hundred $$, as they were not yet available in NZ. Along with a 120Mb Conner hard drive a bit later for about $1300, because I couldn't get anything over  40Mb here :-) 

Back when FIDO & Usenet were high tech...

Ahhh... the good old days! back when Philippe Kahn & Bill Gates hadn't really got commercial software rolling :-)
