Good thought Pedro. An initial focus on developing a website or group
page would be a great way to involve members' ideas teach and learn
Linux skills and involve ourselves in outreach that could then be
extended to advertising and involving wider non-technical users.

I have years of involvement in websites, especially humanist.org.nz
but my personal problem is that I get up at 5am as a semi-retired
individual who drives commuter buses early in the morning and I
haven't the energy for evening meetings.

How do people feel about a communications update, even if it is just a
shift to Facebook. After all, the geeks can lower themselves to look
at it briefly and everyone else is already there?!?

At least we should be able to advertise the most active of the IRCs (I
didn't know we had one) on the website and give a specific time to
chat and get together. Does everyone have other things to do at
easter? I could offer my home for beer and biccies in one of the
afternoons of easter when there is time and people are relaxed.

We need leadership. Someone prepared to say we will attempt to do
(..this..) at (...this...place and time...)
