Hi All,

Last nights meeting had a few people come, and an exchange of gpg keys.

We didn't have any talks (Alex will be rescheduled for next year), but
had a discussion about the group as a whole.

So as some of you know, I started up the group again after a long gap.
My aim was to see what the group would evolve into, and that hasn't
really happened yet. Some of the things that came up, and some things
I will open up to the group as a whole are as follows:

a) What is WellyLUG's intended audience?
 - Technical people?
 - New-comers to linux?
 - A mixture?
 - Something else?

b) What is the objective of WellyLUG?
 - Mainly technical talks?
 - Mainly workshops?
 - Some mixture?

c) How regular did we want to meet and when?
 - So last night was nerdnite, and I'm going to find out whether that
is a regular slot, and work out how to avoid clashes in future.

d) Next months meeting
 - SOCIAL!! We could do dinner, drinks, both. Where to go, what to do
   YOU DECIDE!

e) Next years meetings
 - I will aim to be more organised, but some insight into what people
think would improve attendance and achieve points a) and b).
   - Meetup?
   - Facebook?
   - Twitter?
   - Mailing list(s)?
   - Website?
   - Something else?
 - Need more talks, let me know before hand, and I'll make a schedule
for future meetings. Which will get updated on the website (I promise)
 - Previous talk slides. I'll be honest, I've been slack about putting
these on the website. Could any speakers that have talked in the past
please send in your slides, and I can upload them.

With that, let the discussion begin.

Cheers,

Hugh
