As far as I can see, the relevant lines are these:
> brcmsmac 562767 0
> b43 387185 0
Both of these modules are Broadcom drivers. Of course you need only one,
but Mint for whatever reason is loading in BOTH.
Based upon my previous experience with 4311 and 4312, I am going to
recommend b43 as the proper driver.
To test this theory, try this:
sudo modprobe -r brcmmac
sudo modprobe -r b43
sudo modprobe b43
and see if your wireless card starts working properly. Do not reboot or
anything like that; just give it a test run, browse some sites such as
http://straightedgelinux.com , http://slackermedia.info , and
http://gnuworldorder.info and see how it works for you.
If the results are positive, we can create a blacklist file such that
even upon reboot, bcrmmac (the presumed 'bad' driver) is never loaded again.
Please let me know.
Also, apologies for the delayed resonses. I just moved to NZ and am
coasting on only semi-reliable free lobby wifi at my hotel.
