I attended the first Wellington Linux Users Group meeting, which was
held in a meeting room at Wellington City Council. I'm thinking '94 or
'95 kind of time. Kevin Sartorelli, who was one of the founders if I
recall correctly, probably has more information. Google Groups isn't
being very helpful, but it was probably discussed in nz.comp.
The old mailing lists may be lost in the mists of time, but they were
hosted on The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand's systems and managed by
Kevin.
Sadly the oldest entry in the Wayback Machine for Richard Hector's old
website for it is from Feb '99:
