LUG
Subject: [wellylug] Werid Network Problems + IRQ
Conflict

I just installed Red Hat 9 on my HP Pavilion
4422.

When it boots using the ps2 mouse, it keeps saying that the mouse
is busy. It then tries to start the x server, but it doesn't work.
If I use
a serial mouse, it all works okay...

I also tried to get my isa network
card going. The card wasn't detected at installation, but was detected at
first boot. I installed it, but I can only ping the pc's ip.

I think
this is a IRQ conflict between the mouse + network card. The network card is
IRQ 12, & I read online somewhere that the mouse sometimes uses
it.

How can I change the IRQ of the network card or
mouse?

Thanks.
