I have a problem getting the lucant winmodem working on my hp desktop.<BR>
<BR>
I've tried both the rpm drivers & the source. When I try to dial the modem I get the message 'Failed to activate ppp0 with Error 7'.<BR>

I've changed the bios os setting to 'other', like it says in the readme. I remember getting this to work in mandrake 6.0 with no problems...<BR>
<BR>
I'm running Redhat 9.0, with the default kernel.<BR>
<BR>
I've attached my /etc/modules.conf file, if anyone wants to take a look at it.<BR>
I've tried loading the module manually, but the system says that the module couldn't be found.<BR>

Has anyone had this problem?<BR>
