USB 2 works well too. I backup my Laptop's 40GB drive onto a USB 40GB external drive, which is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and can be powered by the USB port alone. I use DAR (dar.sf.net) which does a good job with full and incremental backups.<BR>

I'll probably start with one and see how it goes to start with, but
first things first it looks like I need to add a firewire card to my PC
... wonder if the el-cheapo Dick Smith ones will work?
...then I hace to work out how to access Firewire devices, could be some
fun :)
