<HTML><BODY style="word-wrap: break-word; -khtml-nbsp-mode: space; -khtml-line-break: after-white-space; "><DIV><DIV>From the diagram I can't see where you are putting your root (/) partition.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>The Gentoo Wiki recommends that the root partition is not placed on LVM and after some pain I recommend you follow their advice.</DIV><DIV>At the moment LVM cannot take snapshots of the root volume and a number of pitfalls if the LVM fails for some reason.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>I would also try to set aside some spare space for snapshots and breathing room, you can always make the partitions larger but shrinking them can be very difficult (if not impossible with ext3).
