Hopefully, now that one of the world's largest PC manufacturers will be

shipping them with Linux, this will mean more pressure on dumb hardware

vendors to rethink their Linux driver support.

Although at this point in time it is only a few selected models that

are offering the Ubuntu option and until actual sales figures are (if

ever) announced the pressure on hardware vendors won't be that great.<br>

Has any information on price been released?<br>

The last time Dell had an option to buy a desktop without any operating

system it worked out almost cheaper to get one with Windows

pre-installed.<br>

It would be terrible to see the same thing happen here...<br>
