Hello All<BR>

I have here a GPSmart fortuna that does have a mini usb connector.<BR>

After battling to get my data out of it on my ubuntu laptop, I eventually found that this particular GPS needs to have to wires inverted in the USB cable.<BR>

I am tempted to cut open an USB cable and do it myself, though I am not sure how to properly identify the wires ?<BR>

Is there any coding colours in them or any sort of indication or standard?<BR>
