Anyway, I'm sending this message because I'm wanting to know if anyone
can send or post me an .iso file of Xubuntu that actually works. I've
tried to download Xubuntu three times off the Xubuntu website to no
avail. It won't boot, some error message comes up everytime. My last
resort would be to go to the Linux CD mall, but I'd rather save the $12
if I can find another way.

You can check that the ISO file you downloaded is fine by testing the MD5 checksum; there will be instructions for that. Checking that you burned it to CD without error isn't so straightforward, except if I remember correctly, the Ubuntu CDs had a "self check" facility
available on the bootup menu, I'd expect Xubuntu to be the same. Does
anyone know for sure?

Also, the error message you get might not indicate a faulty CD, it may actually be telling you that there is something unusual about your PC itself. Posting the exact error message (the same each time?) will help to identify if an alternative installation method will work for you.
