<div dir="ltr">Hey,<br>Thanks for the advice. I booted in recovery mode and chose "Try to repair X server" and it fixed the problem. Now the only question is how can I utilize my ATI graphics card's 3D features?<br>

</div>That's an Xorg feature I believe. It chooses sane defaults when you<br>
leave stuff out of the config file, but I'm not sure that you can go<br>
without an xorg.conf completely. Worth a try of course. Worst that'll<br>
happen is you get a shell.<br>
