<html><head><style type='text/css'>p { margin: 0; }</style></head><body><div style='font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt; color: #000000'>thanks for all the replies so far (and I'm looking forward to any others...) - it seems that the most appropriate for what I'm after could be a Drupal/Joomla/CiviCRM<john.modec@xtra.co.nz></john.modec@xtra.co.nz> type of thing but I am going to end up redeveloping a bunch of the web site in order to make that happen. Probably move host to someone more flexible as well... <br><br>The current site is pretty simple in structure but is missing things like frames, css, etc so I've got a footer and menu to maintain for each page which is getting a bit tiresome... probably time for a clean up. The reason for the move towards a proper membership is that we've got an Excel (ugh!) spreadsheet as the main database and it's just too big and cumbersome to be effective. Now when I need to do a mailout the mail merge crashes as it's too big and there are no better options other than exporting the list to text and running a small shell script on my Linux host... and yes that's exactly what I do...<br><br>So what I'm after is:<br>Members & teachers - all the obvious including address for export to mailout lables and which branch they're in plus when they last paid up.<br>Teachers - status of training/registration<br>Members - who's the teacher<br><br>I'd also like teachers to be able to pull out a list of the paid up members that they are linked to, and to be able to do custom exports to a csv. I'm sure I could code that much anyway...<br><br>There's a few administrators of this group, and we're based across the country. The Excel sheet is emailed around and one person maintains it but we can't sustain that forever.<br></div></body></html>
