Also it might just be iserve that does this annoying behaviour to make
changing domain ownership hard.

In defence of iserve, it's not just them. It's tied to the legal
transfer of ownership and the need to be verifiably a real person or
entity IAW DNC policy, and ensures that both sides of the deal are 100%
aware of what's going on, has human oversight, etc etc... <br>

I've never seen an 'electronic' change of registrant system. (Stand
ready to be corrected, my experience is with a couple of .nz outfits
and a couple of .com/net/org outfits respectively...)<br>
