The router is a different device, which is working fine — just
thought I'd make it clear. It is just an ADSL router/modem with a
single ethernet port and no wireless. <br>
<br>
arp and route just show the router. This is the case whether I
connect wired or wirelessly through the AP. <br>
<br>
nmap on 192.168.1.0/24, .1/24 and .2/24 show nothing.
192.168.254.0/24 shows the computer and the router. <br>
<br>
I've tried nmap with the router switched off, just in case the AP
has 192.168.254.254 too, but it doesn't show up then either. <br>
<br>
Surely it must have an IP address, no? I would have thought it would
need one to act as a router, but even if it doesn't, controlling
these things through a self-hosted webpage is so standard...<br>
