This is an interesting idea, and certainly warrants
further discussion.

What assurances do we have that this won't be turned
into a political platform?  Will there be Green Party
promotional material and campaigning at the 'fest?

I think we want to be very careful about remaining
politically neutral, except on the politics
surrounding Linux specifically, where most
Wellyluggers will have pro views.

I'm not personally in favour of lobbying politicians,
but if the LUG sees the need to do so in future, it
will be an advantage to not be perceived as having any
particular party bias.

Apologies for my cynicism.
